Camp Description-

Come take advantage of the sunshine, beaches and waves in San Diego while improving your technical, mental, and racing skills!

This camp is run by Olympians and Olympic coaches and aims to provide a fun and encouraging atmosphere where junior athletes can hone their rowing skills, practice important supportive training components, and—like the Olympic movement itself—learn to be their best while working with athletes from all over!   This camp will give you tools to succeed at all levels from novice to national team.

All campers will receive individualized instruction geared towards preparing for a competitive collegiate program. Each group of athletes will have their own coach for every practice and campers will receive specific technical assessments both on and off the water.

We take a 360° approach to improving our rowing skills and one important place to do that is training balance and core. Campers will have the opportunity to take a 90-minute surfing or stand up paddle board lesson, which will improve balance, self-awareness and build confidence.  If the interest is high, the group will be able to do another session as an addition.  The classes and equipment are provided by Surfari Surf School.

360° Olympic Approach to Rowing Success- Campers will participate in and be educated on:

Yoga

Core and circuit work

Dynamic Stretching

Pre-Hab (Preventative injury work)

2000 meter erg test preparation workouts
